Attend the Race Directors’ Summit – On Us!

Pacers members – have you ever thought of being a Race Director?

Athletics Ontario is hosting a one day “Race Director’s Summit” on January 20 in Toronto.  The day is full of speakers and discussion opportunities with the goal of building a healthy road and trail running community in Canada.
We are looking for two club members who are interested in becoming involved in or learning more about race directing.  Our hope is that a couple of newly-enthused RD trainees will work with experienced RDs to support and enhance current races (Turkey Trot, Galloping Goose, Club Classic) or potentially develop a new event all together!  Current and past RDs are also encouraged to apply.

When: Saturday January 20th, 9am-5pm (reception to follow)
Where: Acme Works, 226 Niagara Street, Toronto, ON
How to apply:  Email us!  Send us a brief email explaining why you’d like to attend the summit and how you see yourself contributing to future London Pacer race events.
Deadline: January 10, 2018
Fine Print:  London Pacers will cover registration cost ($85) and up to $100 in travel expenses for two club members, to be reimbursed to attendees following attendance at the Summit.  Attendees will be responsible for upfront registration cost and requested to email proof of registration to londonpacers@yahoo.com.  Applications will be reviewed by current Pacers executive.  We’ll let you know by January 13 if your application is successful.
